Prince Lot Hula Festival

JULY 15, 2023

Since 1978, the Prince Lot Hula Festival has appeared on the third weekend of July annually. This festival is located at the Skygate on the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center Grounds in Honolulu, Hawaii. It brings together Hālau Hula (hula groups) from throughout Hawaii to celebrate Hula in a non-competitive form. This year will be their 46th annual and is an event to experience.

Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

JULY 22, 2023

Located in the beautiful Piedmont Park, is the best ice cream festival yet. The Admission is free and you can experience non-food vendors, live music, fitness routines, and wellness engagement programs. Which ultimately creates a healthy balance! Join us from 11 am to 6 pm if you live in the area or are traveling to Atlanta during that time.

Intersect Aspen (Formerly Art Aspen)

August 1-4, 2023
Located at the Aspen Ice Garden, you will experience a full art and design fair featuring galleries, collectors, curators, and art professionals. Intersect fairs have a list of fairs in the US including Intersect Aspen, Intersect palm springs, and SOFA Chicago. Tickets range from $25 to $100 and can be purchased here. This is definitely for all my art lovers. 

Maine Lobster Festival

August 2-4, 2023
Experiencing the coast of Maine is firstly a summertime gem. It is truly a charming place and the weather is usually beautiful during August. And the best part is being able to feast on lobster the whole time! You will experience fresh local lobster, entertainers, activities for all ages, cooking contests, and arts & crafts. It does cost $40 to enter and you can purchase the tickets here. However, all proceeds get donated back to the Midcoast Maine communities.   

Lollapalooza

August 3-6, 2023
This was the first festival I have ever gone to and honestly has still been one of my favorites. Perched in the middle of Grant Park, you will experience magical performances alongside the Chicago Skyline. For 2023 headliners include Billie Eilish, Diplo, and Odesza. If you are looking for a festival with a city feel in mind, this one’s for you. You can purchase tickets or see the lineup here.

Minnesota State Fair

August 24-September 4, 2023

It isn’t a classic United States summer if you don’t go to a state fair. Also known as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together”, it is the largest state fair in the nation. As an ending to summer festivities, this fair welcomes over 2 million guests annually. It is stacked with 500 food items, 900 free entertainment shows, Minnesota Craft Brews and Wines, livestock competitions, concerts, horse shows, 1,000 vendors, and so much more! It is $17 a day for Adults and $15 for kids and well worth it if you are traveling with your family!

Burning Man

August 27-September 4, 2023
Burning Man is one of the United State’s most epic music festivals in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert based on 10 principles like radical inclusion and gifting. It is nine whole days long to celebrate your artistic expression. You can expect to cook, dance, make art, listen to music, and celebrate life. US Open Tennis Championships

August 28-September 10, 2023
This important tennis event takes place every year at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. This court is located in Flushing which is in Queens, NYC. You can get day or evening session tickets and they go on sale about a year in advance. You can still find tickets here if you are wanting to plan a trip or will be in the area during those times.

San Francisco Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival

September 23-24, 2023

As part of the last few days of summer, you can experience the Autumn Moon Festival in San Francisco. The 15th day of the 8th month in the Lunar calendar is when the moon is high and bright giving reasons for celebrations. It is an annual tradition and is a two-day celebration from 11 am-5 pm. However, the dates change each year. The festival kicks off with a parade down Grant Avenue. It then continues the celebration with live entertainment, arts & crafts, and plenty of traditional foods and drinks. This is a free event.
