Dublin To The Cliffs of Moher
There are many different ways to visit the Cliffs of Moher. Whether it is renting your car, taking a bus, or doing a tour they all get the job done. When I went, I decided to do a tour group. I thought it was so easy this way and we had such a perfect day. This is you travel guide on how to travel from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher.
The weather for us was surprisingly a beautiful summer day, sunshine and all. The tour group we used was Paddy Wagen Tours. This company has plenty of tours throughout Ireland. I had such an amazing experience, I suggest using them if you do want to go sightseeing.
The tour that we did was called, the Cliffs of Moher Tour from Dublin. It was only 40 euros and it picked us up in the morning at our hostel and dropped us off there as well. So it was basically like our own private shuttle! Side note: it is 45 euros for a regular adult and 40 euros for students. This price also included our admission into the Cliffs of Moher. Our tour guide was very entertaining and the bus had free WiFi that was easy to connect to.
Our first stop was..
Kinvara, a colorful ancient fishing town that had so much charm!
Our second stop was..
Driving along The Wild Atlantic Coast, which is a road that drives through the entire west coast of Ireland.
Our third stop was..
The mini cliffs at The Burren. Burren is famous for its Limestone Rock that goes down the coast. To be honest, I thought this stop was the Cliffs of Moher but boy was I mistaken!
Our fourth stop was..
The town of Doolin. This is where we got lunch and where I experienced THE BEST FISH N CHIPS EVER.
Our fifth and most amazing stop was….
The Cliffs of Moher. Even if you decide not to do a tour group, you have to stop here. The most incredible landscape I’ve ever seen. The pictures don’t do them justice and I could have honestly stayed there all day.
Our sixth and final stop was..
The Bunratty Castle. Although at this point I was extra sleepy, it was very exciting being able to see a castle while in Ireland. This castle was famous for its medieval banquets.
After that, we headed back to Dublin, where I slept the whole way home. (Five years later I found out I have narcolepsy.)
