Let’s be honest, Italy in the wintertime doesn’t sound as tasty as visiting in the summer. I am here to prove you wrong, the Italian Alps are calling your name…
There are a few airport options to travel into to get you the closest to PontediLegno. Firstly, Innsbruck Airport (INN) in Tyrol, Austria, Venice Airport (VCE) in Venice Italy, or Treviso Airport (TSF) in Treviso, Italy. Those 3 options work amazing but your best and possibly easiest option will be to do what we did and fly into Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP) in Milan, Italy. This will be your closest airport and is only a 2 and a half-hour drive. You can also take the train to Edolo and transfer to a bus that takes you all the way to Ponte Di Legno. However, the drive was easy, and renting a car really wasn’t too costly. I would definitely suggest just doing the drive.

This is obviously a must if you are a skier or snowboarder.
You can either take the gondola from the Ponte Di Legno side of the mountain, or you can drive up to the lifts at the Tonale section. Either way, you don’t have to be a skier to enjoy the mountain views. There were a lot of people sipping yummy drinks, enjoying the sunshine, and listening to good music. The bars at the mountain actually ended up getting pretty LIT.
You name it, this cute little ski town has got it. Whatever your outdoor interest may be, this town is full of it all. Although we didn’t partake in any other outdoor activity besides skiing, every day we saw hikers, snowshoers, cross-country skiers. It was pretty amazing seeing so many enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
Ponte Di Legno is awesome because it is easy to walk everywhere. Especially if you are staying at Hotel Bellavista, you will be within walking distance of everything. If you take a stroll through the town you will find, shopping, cute cafes, and beautiful scenery.
Honestly, since all we did was eat at our hotel we didn’t experience much of the restaurant scene. However, the bars were a fun treat to go out to. Most of the bars however do include meats and cheeses with your drink and those were always so yummy. A more casual setting would be at Bar Brescia. The two other bars that get pretty rowdy are Bar Olimpic – Pub Four X and Il Clan
